Microneedling: how it supports your skin's natural renewal
October 5, 2026 · 4 min read · By Kanwal Gill, Certified Technician & Instructor
The idea behind it
Microneedling uses a professional pen with very fine needles to create tiny channels in the skin. Those micro-channels support the skin's natural renewal process — the skin responds by doing the repair work it already knows how to do.
The goal isn't to change your skin overnight. It's to support smoother-looking texture through your skin's own processes, over a plan built around you.
What happens in the room
Every microneedling appointment starts with a skin consultation. Your skin is then cleansed and prepared, and the treatment is performed with a professional microneedling pen — never a home device.
Most clients feel only a mild sensation, and we talk you through comfort options as we go. You'll leave with clear aftercare instructions.
Preparing for your session
Avoid sun exposure before your visit — sun-prepared skin responds better and heals more predictably. We'll share the full preparation and aftercare instructions when you book, so there are no surprises.
Because microneedling works through your skin's own renewal, plans are adjusted to your skin rather than copied from someone else's.
